Esperance Dog Friendly Caravan Parks

RAC Esperance Holiday Park

First on this list is RAC Esperance Holiday Park. It is where we chose to stay in Esperance before our dog friendly Nullarbor road trip. Admittedly, the RAC membership discount meant it was the most affordable. It turned out to be a top park.

I have also put it first in this list of pet friendly caravan parks in Esperance WA because it is the only one to allow pets in any of their onsite accommodation and is the most accommodating for dogs.

For the humans: RAC Esperance Holiday Park, close to town, has had a major revamp and now boasts fantastic, spotless and modern ablutions with family rooms, camp kitchen, recreation room and laundry facilities.

There is also a heated pool, kids playground, BBQs, a dump point, electric vehicle charging station and kiosk. Most sites are a reasonable size and dirt (a few with grass). The sites closest to entry have the better sea views.

For your dog: We found this park to be reasonably dog friendly. The receptionist that checked us in, helpfully gave us information on dog friendly Esperance things to do and a list of dog sitters (useful for those wishing to visit Cape Le Grand National Park).

All sites are dog friendly and two cabins are suitable for 4 guests and 2 pets. Dogs are allowed all year, plus there is no bond payable and the beach across the road is dog friendly. Lastly, the park now has Pet Pamper Station to wash your dog (for a fee).

Esperance Bay Holiday Park

Esperance Bay Holiday Park is a Summerstar Tourist Park. It is a small park, centrally located, close to shops and a brief stroll to the beach.

For the humans: Great grassy sites, clean amenities and helpful, pleasant staff make this a lovely park to stay at during your time in Esperance.

There is also a playground for the kids, a TV room, camp kitchens, BBQ areas, a laundry, a dump point and wifi.

For your dog: All sites, including the ensuite sites, are dog friendly, but sadly none of the cabins are. Pets are welcome all year with a refundable $20 bond. No other dog-specific facilities are provided.

Bathers Paradise Caravan Park

Family owned and located one block from the beach front and 3.5 kilometres from town, Bathers Paradise Caravan Park is a small and quiet park that strives to provide good old honest hospitality.

For the humans:  Bather Paradise Caravan has fantastic shady and grass camp sites for you set up camp during your stay.

The ablutions are dated but clean and well-stocked with fresh flowers for that extra touch. There is also a laundry, BBQs and a camp kitchen.

Reviews on the staff are mixed, with some stating they are helpful and polite and others have complained that they are rude.

For your dog: Bathers Paradise Caravan Park has a limited number of dog friendly camping sites, excluding the peak Christmas and Easter periods. Also, a refundable cash $30 pet bond is payable.

There is also an outdoor dog wash area which consists of a laundry tub suitable for bathing small dogs and a pet washing machine.

Pink Lake Tourist Park

Pink Lake Tourist Park is a small, well run holiday park situated out of town where you can park up amongst the trees.

For the humans: Large grass and gravel sites provide plenty of room for you to set up. Extra large sites are also available for larger rigs.

Pink Lake Tourist Park provides older clean ablutions, camp kitchens, BBQs, laundry facilities, a dump point and a kiosk. The highlight for the kids and young at heart is the bouncy pillow and playground. Guests are welcome to help themselves in the lovely herbal garden.

For your dog: This is another holiday park in Esperance that only allows dogs on campsites and not in any of the cabins. They also have the most experience refundable bond at $50 and do not allow dogs at Christmas and Easter.

Acclaim Pine Grove Holiday Park

The fabulous bush setting, big shady trees and a reputation for being the most affordable park are the points of difference of the Acclaim Pine Grove Holiday Park in Esperance.

For the humans: Here, you can enjoy big grassy sites and have a swim in the lovely swimming pool. Also, use the playground, recreational room, camp kitchen, BBQs, laundry facilities and public phone.

The amenities at this park are old, described as ‘rustic” and, from time to time, receive negative reviews about their cleanliness.

For your dog: Acclaim Pine Grove Holiday Park allows small dogs only and on their website explicitly state that they will not permit large breeds of dogs that may cause other guests anxiety or fear.

Further, dogs are permitted all year but only on campsites and not in any of the onsite cabin style accommodation.

If you have small dogs, this park has no limit on how many can stay on your site.

Common Caravan Park Rules for Pet Friendly Holiday Parks in Esperance

I strongly recommend asking for a park’s pet policy before booking or staying with them. The common rules for all parks are as follows:

  • Dog on a leash at all times
  • Not be left alone at your site or in your caravan, camper trailer or tent
  • Not be aggressive or disturb other campers
  • Clean up after your dogs
  • No designation dog exercise areas. Most encourage the use of the Esperance dog friendly beaches and parks for exercising your dog.
